No passado dia catorze de setembro, do corrente ano, a escola sede do Agrupamento de escolas de Mondim de Basto, recebeu os alunos do 5º ano de escolaridade.
A receção foi feita pela Diretora do nosso Agrupamento, Isabel Coutinho, e pela Representante da Associação de Pais, Susana Barroso, num ambiente acolhedor, simples e muito descontraído, o que facilitou a inserção dos alunos, na nova escola. Depois desta primeira etapa, os alunos foram conhecer a escola com a sua diretora de turma e a sua madrinha (que são sempre alunos do secundário, que têm como finalidade apoiar os alunos mais novos nas suas possíveis dificuldades). Enquanto isso, a Diretora do Agrupamento confraternizou com os pais/encarregados de educação. A Associação de Pais ofereceu uma rosa aos mesmos, para marcar este dia.
No fim os alunos e os seus familiares foram convidados a conhecer a Rádio “Catolo” . Esteve presente um dos alunos, Eduardo Ribeiro, que, através do Orçamento Participativo de Escola, pensou neste projeto. Esta rádio fez, neste dia, a sua primeira emissão em direto, deste ano. Entre leitura de textos e poemas, lançou também seis desafios, aos quais os alunos aderiram entusiasticamente, tendo ganho uma recordação, por cada desafio superado.
No dia dezassete do mesmo mês esta receção foi feita aos restantes anos de escolaridade, nos mesmos moldes, à exceção da receção na cantina, uma vez que são alunos que já conhecem a escola. Também a edição da rádio, deste dia, correu bem e foi do agrado dos alunos. Desta vez os locutores eram todos inexperientes, mas que manifestam, já, uma vontade de explorar este meio de comunicação social. A rádio é uma mais-valia que a escola tem e que deve ser dinamizada, ao longo do ano. Foi com este objetivo que da equipa da receção a inseriu na receção.
